CEO Mariam Crichton to speak at State of Open Conference 2024

7 Satya CEO Mariam Crichton to speak on The Power of Open Geospatial Data panel at the State of Open Conference in London at 11:30am on 7 February 2024. Other speakers include Ed Parsons, Google's Geospatial Technologist, Denise McKenzie, Manager Partner of PLACE Trust, and Chris Newlands, CEO of Space Aye.

The panel will discuss Open Geospatial Data that lies behind the maps apps we use every day, and are hidden within many online services we all use. Topics will include:

• How do we maintain a healthy ecosystem which allows continuous access to this data sustainability?
• What does AI and generative AI is particular mean for the Geospatial Data, for example how can we tell if data used to train an autonomous vehicle is real or synthetic?
• What can we learn from the Geospatial Industry's experience of derived data and the complex issue of using data to create "new" products?
